Five-day course is held every Thursday (starting on November 7, 2024) from 08:30 ET until 16:30 ET (with appropriate breaks) for four consecutive Thursdays. Note that, with the consent of the students and the facilitator, the days of the week may change.
The final day will be Friday, December 6, starting at 09:00 ET and will be just a 90-minute online exam. Note that a working webcam is required for the exam.
On completing this course successfully, the student will have a basic understanding of:
• The value of occupational hygiene and the role of the occupational hygienist;
• The range of hazards (physical and chemical) in the workplace;
• Hazard recognition techniques;
• Sources and potential routes of exposure;
• Hazard evaluation, exposure assessment and measurement processes;
• Methods of controlling exposure;
• The management of occupational hygiene programmes.
